Shaykh Sûlaymān Ar-Rûhāyli حفظه الله said:
“Among the foundations of decorum in the marital home:
Show love through words, actions and do what increases love, because humans in their nature need emotion, need love.
The husband needs his wife's love and affection and for her to show it to him through word and deed, and the wife also needs her husband to show her love through word and deed. 'act.
And men should pay attention to this, because the nature of man generally is not on the side of speech, some men neglect their wife's need to show them their love and speak to her with sweet words which contain love and sincere affection, and this affair is part of the foundations of decorum between spouses.
The Prophet ﷺ was asked: Who is the person you love the most? He replied: 'Aisha, they asked her: And among men? He replied: His father." And the hadith is in the two authentic collections.
The Prophet ﷺ when asked: “Who is the person you love the most?” He replied: "'Aisha", he showed his love towards her before the people, and when he was asked: "And among men?" He did not answer "Abu Bakr" but rather: "His father", and this to show his love.
And the prophet ﷺ also showed his love with his actions.
'Aisha رضي الله عنه said: "I drank during my menstruation, then I passed [the same glass for drinking] to the Prophet ﷺ and he placed his lips where I had placed mine, then he drank."
